   This small, elegant table is perfect and essential for your eclectic 21st century Tea Ceremony. Inspired by traditional Japanese tea drinking practices, but given a contemporary twist. This table comments on how Eastern traditions, aesthetics and philosophical values are being adopted and transformed by Western sensibilities. The handmade tile that my partner, Ceramic Artist, Christina Devine, created for this table is beautiful in its simplicity. It matches the sleek design of the metal base perfectly. I sculpted the legs, feet and edging from solid steel stock. The table was then allowed to oxidize in the elements until the exact moment when the desired patina was achieved. Finally the metal was sealed, suspending the effects of that process.
